Privacy Policy for Modrune
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Toes of the Hand, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to respecting player privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the Modrune and KeyboardLines mobile applications, websites (including modrune.com and keyboardlines.com), and related services.
1. Information we collect and store
Local device storage
Modrune stores primary gameplay information on your device through on-device storage, including AsyncStorage. This may include:
- Game progress: Completed levels, unlocked modes, and current puzzle sessions.
- Virtual economy information: Coin and gem balances and local transaction records.
- Game statistics: Daily streaks, games played and won, and clue-use summaries.
- Settings: Sound effects, music, vibration, and light or dark theme preferences.
Playing Modrune does not require you to create an account or provide an email address, password, or other direct identity information.
Anonymous telemetry, analytics, and crash reports
To help maintain app stability, evaluate puzzle difficulty, and improve gameplay, Modrune may use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated telemetry. This can include game lifecycle events, broad level milestones, clue-use counts, and aggregated diagnostic, performance, and crash information.
Modrune does not collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, specific word guesses, entered text, player puzzle inputs, precise location, or device contacts through this telemetry.
Crash reports and analytics
When you use our games and services, we may collect crash reports and technical-performance information. This helps us investigate gameplay issues, resolve technical problems, and improve the player experience.
This information may include:
- Crash reports: Details about an error or crash, which may include device and operating-system information, game version, and the circumstances surrounding the issue.
- Analytics: Information about interactions with our games and services, including gameplay statistics, in-game events, and patterns of use.
Advertisements and monetization
Modrune may offer optional in-app advertisements, including rewarded video ads for bonus coins and occasional interstitial ads between game milestones. During development and initial preview, simulated ad placements do not use third-party ad-network tracking. If Google AdMob is enabled, it may collect standard advertising identifiers and diagnostic network signals under Google's Privacy Policy.
2. How we use technical and analytics information
We may use crash reports and analytics to identify and fix defects, improve load times, stability, and game performance, inform game design and future updates, and help detect security threats, cheating, fraud, and other harmful activity. This information may also support technical assistance, feature development and testing, continuous product improvements, and analysis of usage trends and areas for improvement.
3. Visiting our websites
When you use KeyboardLines.com, Modrune.com, or another website we operate, we may gather information about your use of and interaction with the website.
Where permitted by law and consistent with your privacy settings, we may use this information to run and improve our websites, measure and support advertising, and conduct research and analysis.
Contact form and spam protection
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message to respond to your inquiry and provide support. Messages are sent through our email provider to our support inbox. Please do not include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.
The contact page uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to help prevent spam and abuse. Google may collect device, browser, network (including IP address), and interaction information to assess whether a submission is legitimate. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
4. Data retention and controls
We retain contact messages in our support mailbox for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any related legal or operational obligations. You can contact us to request access to or deletion of your correspondence.
Because core game progress is stored on your device, you can remove locally stored game data and progression by clearing the app's data in your device settings or uninstalling the app. You may also limit analytics collection or advertising tracking through the privacy controls offered by your device operating system, including Google advertising settings on Android and App Tracking Transparency controls on iOS.
5. Children's privacy
Our games and services are intended for people age 13 and older, (or age 16 for residents of California/EEA where required by law). They are not designed for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect or request personal information from children under 13, direct interest-based advertising to them, or allow them to use our games and services. Gameplay telemetry is intended to be non-identifying and aggregated.
For California residents under 16, we do not knowingly sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Your rights and international privacy standards
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have rights to request access to, deletion of, or restrictions on personal data processed about you. Gameplay does not require a user account or direct personal identifiers, and most game-related data remains only on your device. Information you send through the contact form is handled separately as described above.
We do not sell personal information or share personal data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising unless you have provided explicit opt-in consent.
7. Contact us
